SoundBytes magazine has teamed up with DDMF to offer a free version of their popular IIEQ Pro plugin.
It’s a really nice free six-band parametric equalizer plugin with twenty-seven filter types, a built-in frequency analyzer, plus it’s really light on CPU and it doesn’t add any latency.
You can download the free version of the DDMF IIEQ Pro plugin from the SoundBytes plugins page.
It’s available for Windows and Mac, both 32 and 64-bit, and comes in VST, AU, RTAS, and AAX formats.
If you signup for the SoundBytes mailing list you can get a code for an extra 10% discount on the full version of IIEQ Pro.
The free version of the plugin has some limitations but it still sounds great and is fully-functional, and there’s no painful authorization process to go through.
The full paid version of IIEQ Pro has 24 bands instead of 6, along with the option for two-channel mode and it has a really cool multi-track feature for editing everything from one UI.
This is a great plugin if you’re like me and use amp sims or other virtual instruments where low latency is super important. A lot of similar EQ plugins add latency but DDMF IIEQ Pro does not.
Another good thing about IIEQ Pro is that it barely touches the CPU. I just added six instances to a project and the CPU meter only increased by like 1%.
